Burble

Process

The prompt for this light required at least one component to be produced by a third-party manufacturer in multiples. Contemplating how the form of a sconce could flow off a wall and carry into a pre-manufactured bulb helped inform the scale and language of the light. The brass shades were manufactured by a local metal spinner, the bulbs sourced from Ikea, and the electrical components sourced from Grand Brass. The body of the light was designed for slip-casting, though the prototypes were created in hardwood.
